Before & After: A Greek Inspired Bathroom Renovation
Our client approached us with a beautiful idea: to have a ‘greek cave’ in their home that would become their bathroom. It was an exciting idea that we were able to workshop so that the end result is user-friendly, functional and as beautiful as they had imagined.
To achieve this Greek-inspired ensuite, we were particular in the textural materials used. Without being distracting to the eye and having too much going on, we opted for elements that would compliment and draw a closer connection to earthy-tones. We achieved the client’s perfect combination of not-too-busy and not-too-plain by contrasting the while with English brass tapware. Over time, it will age and patina to look even more beautiful than it already does.
We paired this with raw timber elements in the beams, the draw front and the mirror. This gives the bathroom a great dose of warmth, creating an inviting and relaxing atmosphere before for that end-of-day soak. The subtle concrete waterfall vanity works harmoniously with the halls, with pebble-tiled floors a feature that ties the entire bathroom back to its Greek-inspired roots.
The end result is a space that the client loves, will age with beauty and grace and that we had a lot of fun collaborating on with them to bring their ideas to life.
