Vanity mirror dilemma

Hi we're renovating our ensuite. We are replacing our small vanity with a 2m long hung vanity. We currently have 1 sink and find that suits us fine and don't want another. Along with extra costs we really don't want two basins. I want an arch shaped mirror. My question is, will it look silly having 2 separate mirrors, 1 above a sink, 1 with no sink but as a make up/ hair station? I feel 1 big mirror in the arch shape may not be enough for the second person to see if you know what i mean. This is our home not looking at selling what would you do? Build for yourself or to please others?

always decide what suit yourself and two mirrors sounds perfect with one basin but you could also have the basin between two mirrors...so do you want the vanity to be symmetrical or asymmetrical?

Two mirrors will be fine. I’d do an asymmetric basin so you have the big space for makeup/hair.

The tiles will just mounted on the kicker of the vanity and then caulked at the bottom to stop water seeping under them. Shouldn’t be hard to remove. Just cut along the caulking first. They look like the match the rest of the skirting and shower. Are you retiling everything?

Have a read of this article. And why would you put lights in a large mirror. If you want lights in your mirror, then install a small make up mirror separate to main mirror.

Mirror is not just for watching yourself brush your teeth. Also for makeup and hair. One 650 mirror is too small for 1500 vanity

Why wouldn't you put a decorative tray with decorative items to match under the makeup mirror? Lots of choices and it could include jars for makeup brushes, perfume, etc so it is useful too. You need to make it look deliberate - not an added after thought - or that you could not afford another basin!

I have a smaller vanity with central sink and it has heaps of room for makeup, So I’d go the sink between mirror
