DUAL KEY / ATTACHED GRANNY FLAT DESIGN
Latest new build project is off the drawing board! Tasked with designing a home suitable for multi-generational living, I have divised this contemporary yet cost down approach to the dual key design below.
What is a dual key design? Basically, it's a granny flat attached to the main house. Granny flats skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, and a dual key design is a great value add for those building a new home. As a granny flat is treated as a separate dwelling, it must have a means of fire separation in accordance with Australia's building regulations.
Extra Rental Income! Depending on the planning regulations in your area, you can rent the out one of the dwellings to a third party and derive extra income from your property.
