Comments (14)Kerri, Have a sit and a think about it but it MUST suit you. I would do exactly what you have done with the drawing that you supplied with this diemma and draw a few options and see which one you think you like the most and if it means moving the plumbing then so be it. I'm curently building and up to plaster stage and I have still made a change and put in a few more power points whilst I still can, just go with the best option. Moving plumbing is not a prohibitive cost specially in the design stage where you don't have tiles already on. Best of luck with your decision. Comments (10)Hello All, Thank you, as requested please see the properties layout HERE As suggested above by everyone, we will be leasing the property for a initial 6 months. Bare minimum changes required only will be made to keep the investment low. After 6 months, we intend to move in to the property. At this stage there two options we are thinking Option 1. Renovate the property and move in Option 2. Tear down and build a new one Family Size: 4 Members (2 adults and 2 children) and yearly visits by parents or in laws. For Option 1 our Requirements are: 4 Beds are must 1 formal Living 1 Family living 1 Dining 1 Rumpus/home theater/Activity Room (willing to compromise for a smaller formal living 3x4 or something similar) 2 Bath and 2 toilets Will be a wishful thinking if we can have a separate Theater room and a Study/Activity Room Current House is built on wooden stumps, external walls are bricks (except for sun room - which is a later addition after the house was built) Budget is the most tricky one and we are yet to work out on a number. But am I looking at a spend beyond 100-150k? Kind Regards...See MoreAwkward Bathroom Design
Comments (9)Unfortunately, I do not have the exact measurements nor do I know what the walls and floor are made of. It's only a one storey house and we want to live there for at least 10+ years so we want to get it done before we move in as it will inconvenient for us given that this is the only bathroom in the house. Thanks for the suggestion Kate, I never actually thought of opening the other side of the existing shower. Just thought of something like below....See MoreIdeas for a bathroom redesign
Comments (4)my three way plan has 10cms walls but you should be able to have thinner walls that will allow for standard sized small bath, shower and vanity as well as tiled walls and, using a toilet that is shortest from font of seat to back of cistern, will also allow extra standing room in the toilet and, depending on what's outside the original bathroom door, you may decide that you don't need the extra entry door and a simple doorway may be sufficient...See Moreoklouise
