A beach shack? Lucky you! You can't really go wrong with USA or any shade of white. If it is only a temporary floor or even if it isn't, really have some fun with it, the palest blue tones will suit the setting but funky bright yellows and orange are a great summery feel unless you want the Hamptons look where you paint the floors in either white or grey or both depending on the room.

I really like the style of the first photo and while we aren't quite that luxe or extravagant, it was a picture like this that first inspired my initial ideas of a gold (type) feature wall. Unfortunately, it appears metallics are harder to source and even harder to DIY. I was informed I would probably neeed to pay a professional. We tossed around wallpaper but dismissed it quite early. There is a bit of science involved in selecting pool tiles, especially where they can be exposed to pool chemicals and pool water. You will find that some Mexican and Moroccan tiles are porous around the edges and aren't really suitable in the long term with so much exposure to chemically-laden pool water. When a pool gets dirty with algae hydrochloric acid is used to get rid of the algae, and you don't want to splash some onto your handmade tiles accidentally! You already have quite an eyeful with your travertine latte, your patterned mosaic, and your speckled pool finish in a modestly sized area. Have you ever heard the expression used by designers "Less is More"? I would be reluctant to add another feature tile as I think it will look too busy. The easiest and simplest solution would be to extend the pool mosaics upwards over the masonry, so it is continuous vertically. You will find that your pool water level will go up and down a bit and a continuous mosaic tile will be the neatest solution no matter the water level.
