need advice in decorating new living room
Comments (12)Hi Fabulous Pink, Your pendants shown here are quite formal, so with that in mind, I would actually go for the more formal 'first' floor lamp pictured. The blue and grey cushions you previously posted are also more informal in colour and image, (especially the 'coral' shapes) so do not immediately tie together with the pendant selected here. That doesn't mean you can't introduce some blue into the room. Just consider the 'theme': is it formal, casual, classic, modern, eclectic, etc....and stick to that. It can be a bit formulaic, but if you haven't any experience, it is a more fool-proof way and you will most definitely develop ideas as you go, as Susan suggested, but you don't want to make costly mistakes or end up getting totally lost or bamboozled. Re the scatter cushions above, I like the texture of the first two but you will also need to add a solid colour (maybe this is where the blue comes in - perhaps in velvet, so it adds a softness as well as texture) and a throw rug in similar tones....See MoreWhat decoration to put on wall?
Comments (9)Hey Stacy, I think a long floating shelf for sure, but not to "busy" maybe on the left three different sized frames then a bit of a gap maybe three low candles of the same size in the centre then further to the right a couple of pots(different size)one of Devils ivy and a succulent maybe......See MoreLooking for advice for home decor
Comments (11)Thanks everyone for suggestion. I just moved in so the curtains are the sets from the previous owner and do not have the budget to make ones that suit the rails and the current theme of the room. I might take them down to see the difference. Thanks for pointing out certain things. The hooks are also the existing holes on the walls so I didn't bother drilling new ones for the paintings (Unless I drill holes on the frame which I am reluctant to). Any ideas how to lower the paintings with the exisiting holes on the wall and existing string on the frame? The tables are similar in height and yes, just realised that the floral arrangements take away the attention of the paintings, so I will take them out. Thanks again...See MoreLiving room decor advice
Comments (8)Lovely vases, just need to anchor them with something solid , a bowl, candles and put a simple branch of greenery in one, that will give them a presence. Look at Norsu interiors for beautiful ideas....See MoreHU-899915993
