We currently have one entry planned from the Master bedroom into the WIR and ensuite (1000mm wide).
Do you think this is a good idea or should we separate the entries?
It looks like , cost wise , there won't be any difference , as you'll need the same wall distance ( plastering , painting etc , and the same number of doors , so it depends on your preferences .
The existing plan means you can shower and get changed and emerge afresh , the downside is that it may hold up your partner if they are 'polite' , but my main dislike is the steam -- close the ensuite door , and some will head to the WIR , where clothes can be static for months / years haha .
I wouldn't keep it that way. I'd have a door into WIR from bedroom. You won't lose any space.
Need help with extension. Adding master bedroom with ensuite and WIR.
Alternative layout for Master bed / WIR / ensuite
Ensuite wir help please!
master en-suite layout
I would move wir door due to steam and better storage space and change slider to a swing door. Better noise control and quieter closing door
You have plenty of room, I recently designed a similar master suite for friends, you could make the WIR wider to allow for narrow shelves on the opposite wall.
love those 2 ideas. Always great to have bed facing windows
