Need help for my exterior paint colour and exterior design
Comments (14)Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. All the best, it's going to look great....See MoreExterior Paint Colours on Rendered House - Advice
Comments (8)Hi Andrew At Bodo, our motto for exterior colour schemes is Keep It Simple! with a maximum of 3 colours, including your roof, windows etc. If you break this rule, the colour scheme becomes complicated and fussy, and may make your house appear smaller, as introducing differing colour in differing sections, confuses the eye line. Dont make the same mistake, by making "for now"decisions. Think of the future :) We recommend keeping everything in Colorbond Bushland. We have attached an example of how this could look below. 1. Rendered Rear Retainers 2. Existing front retainers 3. Fencing (existing) 4. Full House repaint (this is where the future comes in!) This scheme will work beautifully with your white aluminium joinery, and feel seamless. It will be ok with your classic cream patio and roof. This colour scheme wont be one bit boring! just stylish and classic. Not to mention an increased sale ability of your home. Then you can bring in some timberwork, pots in a colour that you love, outdoor furniture etc or maybe even a wall garden on the rear fence line. If you really want to take the guesswork out of which colours to use right throughout your home, inside and out - jump on and have a look at the concept that Bodo recommends for you: You can purchase and instantly download a full shopping list of paint, materials and products to bring your look together! http://bodoboards.com.au/collections/paint-concept/products/australian-bush-paint-concept Good luck!...See MoreExterior paint selection help/advice
Comments (2)Update: I think I will go for a dark grey on the render, a grey-ish where cream is and a light grey/ white where green is. Via Dulux colours that would be dark grey/tranquil retreat or flooded gum/lexicon or natural white)...See MoreLooking for advice on exterior paint job
Comments (8)it's not the colour of the screens as the black would look great against the white it's the lattice that interrupts the views and looks dated but the screens can be replaced over time as needed ... we've bought very modest priced ($165 plus extra lock) non latticed security screen doors at Bunnings for a property in tropical Mackay and we're gradually replacing all the windows with flyscreend louvres that have greatly improved ventilation and enhanced the tropical feel without compromising security...See MoreCee
