I really like these [bed side tables[(https://www.houzz.com.au/photos/north-seminary-contemporary-chicago-phvw-vp~13970763) which are bespoke although too large for my room. Anything similar, but not as wide, in Australia..ideally Melbourne?

Love your focal timber! Take a couple of sample pots, pop some paint on A3 paper, and stick them around until you are happy... but try Dulux Wentworth (dark, rich blue-almost- black) namadji (grey palette) or even wayward grey (charcoal, with some hint of yellow/green in it somewhere... could make the timber sing. ) If you are worried about it getting too dramatic or overwhelming, one possibility is to use two colours on your cabinet. Have the uppers in a light shade and lowers in dark, or one "block" in a strong colour and the remainder more neutral . Both approaches can be really effective. (Look at Tilly's kitchen for a strong/neutral success story!)

Hi Northstar, I had a bit of a stickybeak at your inspiration photos in your ideas photo albums - would that blue colour on those kitchen cabinets work for your laundry? With the timber countertops & white splashback? Although maybe it might be too dark depending on window light or artificial lighting, it could look really beautiful!

depends on your over all desired look. Traditional is to do same as the woodwork, and a good idea if the wardrobes are not particularly worthy of featuring. T
