Outdoor office design advice

We are including an outdoor home office space in our renovation. We will have east facing building. Is there anything we need to be mindful of in our design to make best of natural light and shading throughout day...glare etc... What furniture would you include in the office or other features. Is our design ok? I am new to building and am clueless ! All advice appreciated. Currently we have skillion roof which is tilting up towards east and a large fixed window. (we can't have bifolds or sliders leading into pool as originally planned due to safety codes. We can but there will be a pool fence just in front of door so kind of defeats purpose in terms of vista etc)

My study has eastern window. I need to shade the sun in the morning till around 10. Can you move the pool away from pool house to allow a deck that you can open up pool house onto. The access between the two is currently very poor with the pool gate swinging across to the pool house doorway. Can you post a site plan with some dimensions

From previously post, I thought your pool house was facing more north east, than east. Therefore are retractable awning may help until the sun goes around to the west. And in winter you will not require any shade, it will be a perfect spot to get away from the household.

Regarding the office set up in the pool house.
You need a desk or two or even a built in bench with draws underneath, for stationery, filing, general paperwork. You need space for a printer/scanner. Filing cabinets, or cupboards for files, and books, accessible nbn point for your modem, unless you are using an extension from the home. Wall for white board or cork board. One or two good ergonomic office chairs. And last, a sofa bed.

This is our office, the buffet is actually my cabinet which is holding a4 files, and stationery. Plus the sofa bed.

Sesame, I used to have a granny flat-type office separate from the main house, so I can empathise. What do you intend to do in the office? It's a different thing if it's just to pay bills, vs studying, vs work on client projects all day, ie how long do you spend there? (the lack of windows is a concern). You might want to think in terms of zones: eg, a reclining chair to catch up on reading, separate from the desk, separate from the filing area (ie filing cabinets acting as divider). Maybe one wall painted with whiteboard paint. A little refreshment station (kettle/urn) to make a cup of tea might be welcome if the office is far from the kitchen.

The ofice looks to be a similar style to the rest of the house , and I suspect was built at the same time , or at least very sympathetically -- with only 2 people , it doesn't overly matter , but I'd probably keep it -- there looks to be quite a bit of space . The enclosed decking though is weirder -- I'd remove the walls , unless theres privacy or similar reasons ? Another option may be replace with vertical battens -- they'll shield views but let through more light , and done in say a matt Japanese black or similar would add to things .
