Kitchen renovation help!
Comments (6)Hi We have just created a Hamptons style kitchen ALL IN WHITE in an extension/restoration of a 100 year old home. It looks stunning. The cabinetry is all in shaker profile white semi gloss with Essa Stone 80mm bench tops and square posts at the corners. You don't need to have a different colour bench in order to do a Hamptons look... however the style needs to be complemented with the other items around it eg floor colour/style. Our floor is blackbutt floorboards stained with black japon (dark chocolate but light enough to see the grain) with semi gloss polyurethane. The white on it works very well. If you search for Hamptons kitchens you will find plenty in all white....See MorePlease need help for kitchen renovation
Comments (24)If moving plumbing, etc is too much for your budget, why don't you leave existing kitchen where it is, open up the wall to the hallway and that bedroom that faces into the pool area. Close off a wall near the entrance/formal living room to replace the bedroom. Advantages are a) not moving expensive kitchen wiring, plumbing etc. Kitchen window still looks out into entrance to see comings and goings AND back to pool for informal living (maybe casual dining at an island seating area, casual sitting for pool). b) the existing dining, living room is a separate space (great when your kids are older to have two living options for noise isolation - adults in one, kids in the other). Both sets of rooms open off the entrance way, and that new bedroom can be the one you use as home office or guest (leaving other bedrooms for family)....See MoreApartment kitchen renovation - Before & After
Comments (8)Beautiful. Love your white "Hamptons " style. Interesting your choice of both handles & knobs in the first after pic. The floor is stunning complimenting the cabinetry. I really like the island, looks great as a large work/dining space with out the obstruction of the sink or hot plates. Very fresh timeless. The room dividing cabinetry with above glass display very practical. Well done ✅...See MoreA 1980s kitchen renovation: Out with the pink, In with the timeless
Comments (6)All the joinery and floor finishes are brand new - the old ones were not in the best condition, and the layout was not working well, so it had to go!...See MoreKate
