Bathroom wall mounted mixer tap placement
Comments (22)I think it is because if the tap handle doesn’t overhang the sink then wet hands drip water over the bench behind the sink. I have an undermount sink with same issue due to required setback from sink and we are learning to shake hands before turning off tap. Pro for wall mount no gunk around base of tap Negative according to my husband who refused to have wall mounted is the tap connections are in wall so if you get any leaks it’s hard to fix. But this goes same for shower I guess. We did have a faulty basin tap that leaked inside the handle area and down into cabinet so had to get replaced so I didn’t-push for wall mounted again....See MoreIntegrate fridge/freezer or not?
Comments (28)Hi, I have to agree with rwalton5 with regard to the use of space set aside for the boot/ bag area. While the idea of the area is great, it really needs to be located in a more appropriate area of the house. Perhaps in the entry or laundry area. I do have a suggestion for your choice of fridge. I own and operate an Agri tourism business and was suprised when setting up a commercial type kitchen at the reasonable cost of commercial fridges. These fridges are built to take the wear and tear of busy kitchens with multiple users, much the same as a large family. I was able to store large water containers with tap, large platters and large plastic tubs to house fruit and vegetables. I can remember thinking at the time how ideal this option would be for a large family. I was able to install a much larger commercial fridge at a lower price than I could buy from a regular retailer. My thoughts are that you would then be able to fit a large chest freezer in your butlers pantry. While chest freezers are not fashionable, they provide the room you require for buying / freezing bulk groceries. Good luck with your plans!...See Moreone or two basins - 1600mm vanity
Comments (26)Hi, so sorry... new to this website and cannot figure out how to make a new comment (not tied in with anyone else's post) so that Two's Company renovations sees it! 20 mins searching still hasn't helped figure it out! Am trying to reach them but their phone number doesn't work. Does anyone know if they're still in business? Tried to send a message but the website said I'd reached my maximum of messages... but I've only ever sent one to another company. Very confusing. And no helpline for Houzz. Most strange!!! If anyone can help point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated! Thanks, Rachel 0406 968 782....See MoreBathroom basins- your view on inset vs above mount ?
Comments (4)Vessel basins have a lot more styles and sizes to choose from which can help with providing more/less bench space depending on your preference. They also wont take up as much space in the vanity. You may need to do a little more cleaning than if you went a standard integrated style....See More- 5 years ago
