Thanks for those photo's, I'm thinking about shiplap cladding and shelves in my toilet and photo 4 confirms that contemporary style floating shelves will look great, I was a bit worried that I might have to add Federation style (house is fed). The shelves would be on the opposite wall to loo and I hate seeing rolls of toilet paper but they have to be in reach so thought a simple shelf with sliding doors (finger hole in doors no handles) above the loo would work and also provide a place for a plant on top underneath the window. That tiny room has been causing me so much stress! Oh I have a metre high half Zebra easy peel wall sticker (to keep small grandson interested whilst on the job) on wall opposite loo which is contemporary, another reason I wanted the shelves above it to be a bit modern. I think it will look great now, even adults love the zebra lol. Thanks again I'm totally sorted.
