It sounds to me like you will have to stick to 'oldfashioned' linoleum ( lino ) to get those types of results ?

Ok thanks. I’ve been google searching for sheet vinyl and linoleum but have only found linoleum tiles so far and not sold in widths. There’s some good commercial examples but none for residential that I’ve been able to find.

I'm in NZ , and I googled here , and there are several companies , but as soone as I change the search to Australia , you are right , hundreds of planks and timber looks , and thats it . National Flooring Distributors seems to be one of the largest in Aus ( or largest search results ) and basically nothing .

Have a look at the NZ 'feelings' range -- theres some really cool ( IMO ) ones that look like those blue and white tiles etc ( theres light brown and yellow variations etc too ) at around $NZ90 a square metre -- probably fits the retro criteria . Presumably theres more demand here in NZ , or maybe someone entreprenuerial in Aus can jump in and fill the need . ' We have to tell a million people a day there is just no demand for it ' haha .

Hi thanks that’s great. I also saw some cool designs on NZ sites. Much more interesting than boring Australian preferences. I think my issue will be that the kitchen renovator prefers if I get a local company to both measure and install. I’d be good to know if an Australian company would import for me. I’ll have to ask locally and find out 👍🏼

Hi all, an update on this post. I found that Poly Flor is available in Australia and although mainly used in commercial it is available for residential. I’m going with this product https://www.polyflor.com/jh/products.nsf/products!open&prodcode=3700 supplied through Carpet One in Mitchell, ACT.

I posted the exact same question a couple of days ago! I can find some great products with lovely patterns in the UK but its so hard to figure out where to buy. I managed to get samples sent from a company, but I have no idea how to actually order it as they tell you to use your local supplier... and I don't know who that is? they only had a limited range, checks or diamonds (ie checks the other way) and I want something more interesting. atrafloor will sell to au but its super expensive.
