Hi Fiwi When we look at basins, regardless of the overall dimensions or type of mount we look at the depth of the bowl internally and its shape. For practicality we always choose a deep bowl with a curved bottom of some sort to allow proper drainage. Its a great look to have flat square bottoms with corners and shallow angles as you have now, but the reality is as you said that they need help to be washed out. The deep and wide bowl is better for shaving too as it keeps the rinsing within the bowl. There are plenty of great looking basins that have the above. We often use an undermount or inset basin such as these give practicality without bulk eg as below But there are also plenty of good surface mounted also. Cheers

Your bathroom is a little bit dated and daggy, however the pedestal basin does match everything else. As mentioned above it is the three drawer cabinet which looks out of place and is letting the bathroom down. Don't waste your money on buying something cheap that is going to look out of place. Potential buyers appreciate a spotless bathroom and can spot a cheap re-purposed cabinet (like you already have). If you really think that you need more storage then keep the pedestal basin where it is and buy/rent a lovely (not cheap looking) dressing table, with a large mirror that complements the bathroom that you can take with you. Something like this would be perfect if you can get the size right, but sadly is not for sale. Get rid of that awful, off-centre mirror that doesn't match, or align with anything. Save big money on importing one from the UK and spend it on design to make the space work for you without the need for such an impractical solution. There are some cute, tiny wall mounted hand basins which would be a neater solution. https://www.reece.com.au/product/basins-c448/wall-mounted-basins-c452/axa-cento-mini-wall-basin-right-hand-with-fixing-1-9505814 If there is no other option here is another type of toilet/handwash product, but I don't think it looks any better than the Caromo design, although overcomes some of the impracticalities mentioned in the previous comments. https://www.reece.com.au/product/basins-c448/wall-mounted-basins-c452/roca-w-w-integrated-washbasin-white-5-star-9505427 Best of luck, Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls/Dr Retro Virtual Visits

Hi all, It's very difficult to find where I can get a decent quality glass bowl. The majority of the bowls which I suspect are chinese imports are tainted glass, where I am looking for a pure quality similar to the work that Euroglass undetakes. Does anybody know where I can buy one from?
