Yes, all the Houzzers have been extraordinarily helpful. I am sure in the end, it will be a beautiful room. With regards to the change of sofa style, I was unsure of my ability to keep the white leather clean - particularly the stitching. By finally going with the "Julio" it is slightly more comfy sofa than the "Ariel". It has a higher back and I feel the "granite" colour will give me less hassles. In reality, the "granite" colour has slight yellow/creme undertones which tie back better with the curtains but this doesn't really show up in pictures. Golly, I hope I am on the right track. I MUST put a verandah though - the front garden is heavenly - 9 metres to the front with roses and fruit trees (though it looks rough here) and is high up opposite a park for a view. I plan to play guitar here of an evening and add more white, blue & purple flowers to the middle and a pergola with climbing roses for a Moon Garden.

As everyone has said it looks good but sometimes you just need to update and change. There is products available, Kerlite porcelain cladding for one. Kerlite is a thin porcelain cladding that comes in many colours and textures. Can be used on walls floors bathrooms, outside etc. I had a small court yard with a door leading to the garage. I covered the door and the rendered wall to make it all flush and create a feature wall. Basically there is nothing you can’t cover and the colour and texture range now is unbelievable. Kerlite is definitely not a diy job, you need the experienced tiler. Also it’s been out for a while now and I’m pretty sure there is tile cladding etc etc. maybe google porcelain cladding, there will be similar products. Check it out I highly recommend it.

I've been playing around with a pantry location. Originally, I was going to move the pantry into the laundry with some custom shelving and cut the laundry space in half. Now, Im thinking of cutting into the study area and building a wall there, and converting the new space into a long and narrow walk in pantry. Either that or build half a wall and put built in shelving in the study. Building the extra wall will reduce the need to cover in the door way that is currently in place and instead utilising it. Thoughts? p.s. this isnt too scale.
