Kitchen Mixer Tap
Comments (6)Hi Sarah Smith, I had a look on the Bunnings site and I thought this tap would look great with your sink. It has the retractable component you're looking for and I thought had the same sort of style but not knowing what the rest of your kitchen looks like it's just a thought. I have a pull out tap for my kitchen sink and I find it really handy. In regards to retractable taps having to be replaced this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". I'd love to see what you choose in the end and a pic of the whole space when it's done. http://www.bunnings.com.au/dorf-wels-4-star-7-5l-min-krysten-chrome-pull-out-sink-mixer_p5000823#.VTgr6op6imo.mailto...See MoreSatin chrome/stainless steel tap ware versus chrome
Comments (4)@Luke Buckle, There definitely is a difference between these two products, stainless is polished steel and is solid, like brass but stainless will never tarnish and cannot rust and if you're into horses, its what any person worth their salt would use in a horses mouth before using chrome plated bits that will indeed eventually rust. Chrome tapeware is only plated, there is no such thing as solid chrome, just like the old bumber bars on cars, they needed redoing in time if you were restoring them. So in answer to the question by danamasters, save up and go stainless for a lifelong perfect finish that will never let you down and as far as where to buy, hopefully other readers or pro's in the plumbing trade can help you with a supplier once you tell us where you're located. Good luck. Cheers, Barbara...See MoreSink dilemma- black or white (undermount) black bench top
Comments (9)I would go matt stainless steel, it will match any other silver or chrome in the kitchen (cupboard handles;tap; toaster etc). I've been looking at double bowl stainless undermount sinks and thought the Blanco essential U2 model was pretty nice (and about 788mm). good luck!...See MoreKitchen Reno - to match the tap and appliances, or not?
Comments (15)Just remember that good quality tapware is EXPENSIVE and so is the plumber to change out the tap so go for the best you can afford - tapware will either make or break the look you're going for in terms of big ticket items. But go for what you want - infact take a sample of your benchtop and put it next to the tap and a stainless steel appliance in the Ikea showroom and have a look to decide for yourself - it all depends on personal taste....See MoreDaniel S
