New Build. Roof & Exterior Colours Help
Comments (5)for bright and breezy go for pale yellows and oranges - blues & greys are everywhere - or look at light greens You can go with Surfmist for the roof and facias to keep it lighter - I would even do a Zinc roof with this design for a clean, modern minimalist look. Then look at Dulux Tinker Light at half & quarter tones if you want to go into the yellows or try Dulux Fresh Frappe or Misty Moore for the greens ... Try something different. If you have a neutral roof, you can go crazy with colours - and change them more easily whenever you want to update your look. Good Luck! :)...See MoreHelp with colours for exterior make-over
Comments (9)The dust and work boots coming inside the farmhouse used to drive my mum nuts! If you know the brand and name of the brick, do a google image search to look at some of the new builds. That might give an idea of some possible colour schemes that could work. Many new builds have painted rendered portions work well with the brick colour. You could use one of those colours for the verandah or posts, for instance. The main difference in the newer builds is they tend to have a contrasting mortar ie. darker bricks with light mortar....See MoreNeed help with exterior paint colours
Comments (14)Hi Jenna, Have a look at Colorbond Evening Haze instead of Dune. If you go to a Masters store you can pick up The Wattyl Exterior Colour Solagard Brochure. When you open it up on one side of the colour chip centre page you will see the colours Monument, Surfmist and Evening Haze - this is the "Cool" colours side the other side where Dune is placed is the "Warm" colour side. When choosing colours try to stay with cool or warm tones to create a harmonious look....See MoreHelp with the exterior trim colour(s) to go with "peru" brick wall
Comments (2)To Modernise this without rendering or retiling the roof I would probably recommend to go darker with the trims. My top pick as a colour consultant would be Dulux's Domino for the trim. It will be a little bolder and create a more modern contemporary feel. You can see it pictured below as the trim. Obviously this house has painted their bricks in the shade "teahouse" however it will still look much better on your 1980s "peru" colour bricks! Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any more help colour wise!...See Morebigreader
