Hello all I’m interested in your thoughts on wether you prefer left or right layout. It’s a smal bathroom only 3x1.8. Thanks in advance

Left hand layout. More privacy for shower uses, if door is opened.

The shower opens the wrong way in the RH you will have water on the floor on entering, so left is better

@sstarr -Australian (so that's the british influence showing through I guess) fred-that is pretty much it, although currently we do have external walls, with fibre board sheeting. So if you can imagine what I mean is keeping the brick exposed along the main wall, but framing the bottom half with timber wainscoting to 120cm height. the plumbing and electrical lines would go through behind the wainscoting (not really sure if that what its called?) our house is an 100 year old English tudor style, but we are at the more informal end of the decorating spectrum. I see a lot of reno's where they keep some of the brickwork-just not sure if it would look ok with the beadboard/wainscoting on the lower part.

Sorry but I fail to see the relevance or relationship of this tile to the rest of what is going on. The stained glass window is a strong feature and there appears to be no relationship or relevance to this. It is so close and yet so far away from the main wall tile it looks like a tonal mistake. If it is a Kids bathroom I fail to see what age group of kids would find this attractive or exciting? I must be missing something here? Every individual element needs to have a reason for being there for the whole space to work. Very often individual elements look great on their own bot look a shambles in the wrong mix so unless there is a good reason for this choice from a design perspective it it may end up being a good element in the wrong place. You were fortunate Donnae68, did you get it tested? I believe that you can get a sample tested for about $100 or so. Here is an excerpt on it's history: In Australia, asbestos cement materials were first manufactured in the 1920s and were commonly used in the manufacture of residential building materials from the mid-1940s until the late 1980s. During the 1980s asbestos cement materials were phased out in favour of asbestos-free products. From 31 December 2003, the total ban on manufacture, use, reuse, import, transport, storage or sale of all forms of asbestos came into force. Many houses built before 1990 therefore contain asbestos cement materials, especially in the eaves, internal and external wall cladding, ceilings (particularly in wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries) and fences.

Budget Bathrooms Melbourne, my course is through Open Colleges however (sadly) they don't teach us in great detail about technical drawings. We spend the first 13 modules, manually drawing our concept designs, and from Module 14, we begin to learn AutoCAD and also 3D modelling on SketchUP. After I complete the course, I am hoping to look into architecture at University, as they teach you everything about technical drawings however, Kitchen and Home Sketch Design's referral of Arch Draft course at Holmeglen TAFE sounds interesting! Best of luck with your extension of education :)

but on a serious note I think your screen doesn't look long enough for an open shower in either option.

I think you're going to have to consider very carefully where you position your shower taps to avoid getting wet turning them on.

Can you provide measurements of shower etc? I feel like there may be a different way but hard to tell with the visual program.

The whole bathroom is 3x1.8. The shower area is 1m and glass is 1m in length. I am putting the mixer on the wall not with the shower on it.
