Artwork/wall decor for my guest bedroom
Comments (38)Hi, Love the artwork. Because they're so small, how about putting them vertically, side by side on the wall where the bookcase is. I'd either take out the bookcase, or paint it white. If space is an issue in the room, you could maybe replace the bookcase with a small ottoman/ pouf in a textured plain fabric. This gives guests a place to lay their clothes at night or to set an overnight bag. You could consider a LARGE, maybe hectagonal grey framed mirror over the bed to echo the lines in the bedding. The bedding has a lot of pattern and a mirror may be all you need. Most of all, don't rush. Take your time and enjoy the process....See MoreLamp, art or both?
Comments (19)Hi Anzella, I agree with Daniel Defino Design of placing a lamp with a dark shade. This product below projects a similar idea with a dark brass finish on the body, finished with a delicately carved glass radiating an appealing flamelight. The Tripod Shape of the product will enhance the modern appeal of the room. Placing this Tripod Corner Lamp next to the entertainment set, towards the white wall will be a good idea, as it will come out more as a whole with a white background, enhancing the overall aura of the room. More information about this product can be found on https://www.lirash.com.au/product/tripod-corner-lamp/ Happy to assist with any query. Comments (15)Hi Rema! Megan from Bluethumb Online Art Gallery here. We sell quality original art from the studios of Australian artists, straight to your doorstep. It's true that art is very personal, and everyone's taste is different. There's no right or wrong choice - just what you love and want to see everyday. Based on the pop of yellow from your chairs, and what I've read from the previous conversation here, we've gathered a list of artworks that we think could work well. There's a range of styles, but if you're after a specific category, don't hesitate to get in touch. We can create a special curation of works just for you, at no cost. I've mocked one idea up for you, by popular Melbourne artist, Susie Monte: https://bluethumb.com.au/photography/pennyp/artwork/margarine https://bluethumb.com.au/susie-monte/Artwork/yumi-abstract-painting-by-susie-monte https://bluethumb.com.au/sally-browne/Artwork/black-cockatoos-and-cymbidium-orchids-166624 https://bluethumb.com.au/kara-mandel/Artwork/floating-shapes-kara-mandel https://bluethumb.com.au/lilynova/Artwork/under-the-shadow-of-love https://bluethumb.com.au/lilynova/Artwork/beauty-of-country-life https://bluethumb.com.au/laurendanger/Artwork/appreciation-161435 https://bluethumb.com.au/marnie-mcknight/Artwork/california-dreaming-marnie-mcknight https://bluethumb.com.au/brendan-kelly/Artwork/portrait-4 Also, when it comes to framing, you should choose it to complement the artwork. Just choose what looks best with the piece you've chosen, and it'll look great no matter what your furniture. Cheers, Megan...See MoreUser
