No real suggestions on the kitchen , apart from do you do that much entertaining that you need 2 ovens ?

Nothing to do with the kitchen , but it looks like if you turn the dining table 90 degrees , it will look like more space in the dining area , whilst being as easy to walk around and walk through ?

And without knowing the rest of the layout of your house , is it worth moving the toilet out of the bathroom into it's own powder room , then you can enlarge the WIP a bit , maybe you won't need any more pantry space in the kitchen itself , possibly even have an upright freezer in the WIP ?

Looks like a huge kitchen plus a butlers pantry. There should not be a problem fitting all of your wish list in. If you reduced the length of the island bench by 600mm then you could put additional cabinetwork along that wall that backs onto the bathroom.

However, a big kitchen is not necessarily a good thing when you consider your kitchen's work triangle, and how efficiently you can work in preparing a meal.

I would engage a professional designer who could work with you to provide a couple of concepts based on your cooking and entertaining styles rather than just laying it out so it all fits in. You don't want to be walking 2kms everytime you prepare a meal as you had not considered an efficient kitchen work triangle.

Hi, if the area next to the WIP is the laundry then perhaps consider getting rid of the wall an incorporating the areas together. one big butler sink would suit both. you would also have access to it from both ends. Just a thought...

Thanks Kym. Removing that wall has crossed my mind too. I was hoping to squeeze a little mud room cabinet type thing in the laundry space too - for school bags and shoes, etc - but might be too tight. The pressure to get everything right - or as close to right as possible - is driving me a bit batty!

Just do the best you can, it will work out ok. My thinking on the area for kids bags etc is to place it near the front door, if you have room. Pintinterest have some amazing ideas that look great.

consider a wall shelf mounted MW with drop down door, stacked double oven, tall storage in the pantry, 1050 x 1050 base corner cabinet is ideal for storing occasional use big appliances, seasonal storage behind knee space in the island and tall open storage in pantry and drawers every where possible, there's some suggestions for the laundry mudroom and a view of upstairs that missed your last post

Love OKL idea for the mud room/drop zone in the laundry. It’s a must with kids. This one is nice and close to the kitchen for emptying lunch boxes and retrieving notes.

Could get a oven/micro combination for 1 of the ovens and stack one above the other

Following on from OKL idea, I have grouped the fridge, side by side oven towers one which will hold a MW and both will have pot drawers, plus a pantry of drawers to hold food stuffs.

The WIP has a wide opening and can be closed off with pocket doors and is only 1600 deep and opens up to the laundry, So kids coming home via the garage can turn left and into the laundry mudroom and on into the kitchen

I dislike corner cabinets so have not added any to the pantry, I wonder why there can't be a door to the outside via the pantry?

The Wall that contains the bank of built out tall units has a wide bulk head that pulls those cupboards together and apart from under wall cabinet lights there can be further down lights in the bulkhead

Because the kitchen is wide this brings the cooktop and sink in closer reach to each other which is important.
