Hi Claudia! I’m looking at this exact type of thing for redoing our pergola and patio in Texas. How does this design handle rain water? The roof is flat so does it just pool and eventually run off/evaporate? Does it have slope so it just runs off? Or is there a gutter system? And, is that a metal/aluminum pergola? Thanks!
The roof sheets handle the rain really well. The sheets are flat, however they are installed on a slope (5 degrees). We have also installed a slotted quad gutter connected to a downpipe and storm water (Dulux; Monument). You can see this in the 3rd picture of the project Entertainment Outdoor delight / "Garden space".
We used timber for this pergola, we used Design Pine, because of its strength and durability. The timber has been primed and painted (Dulux; White Exchange half)
