HiDoes anyone know if a skylight position in a pre fab roof trusses be changed and centred more after the trusses are all up and installed?I wanted to ask here first before I ask the silly question to the builder and look stupid
The first question would be whether the 'new' position interferes with any of the diagonals on the trusses , or anything else that is already prepared or installed , such as walls or even iron ( which may already have the holes positioned ) . So the short answer is you will need to ask the builder , but it sounds like you may be early enough that it MAY be possible .
No question is too stupid
How can we make our small open plan 2 bedroom beach house bigger?
Should we put a skylight over our shower?
Solar skylights - what type of light do they give off?
Roof type design considerations
It’s on otherwise of the valley that’s why it’s more apart then the other one in the kitchen , after occupancy I might just remove it and cover it up and plaster it etc etc , anyone know how much removing a skylight could cost? Roof tile plaster builder etc etc
The roof in all probability has been designed by an engineer, moving/cutting a truss,( if required ) may affect the structural integrity of the roof,
Discuss with your builder,
