hi we have about six months ago now, re done our bath room , similar size to yours, and , i can take some photos and email them to you , we have maximised space, and walls , put in a white stone bath under the window , it is a metre in width , with a cool water spout coming off the centre under the window we pu t afalse ledge in to sit , candles etc on , , we tiles floor to ceiling, off white , wall mirror cabnit with three mirrors , inset into the wall so its only sits out a we bit from the wall tiles , floating bath room vanity , so that it makes the floor space look bigger , . matching stone square basin sits ontop of the vanity to one side so plenty of room to sit all your bath room stuff when need be , seperate shower all tiled as well , with inset , shelves for shampoo etc, also , when you open the bath room door and walk in when you close the bath room door behind it next to the shower is a very narrow floor to ceiling shelvec for towels, now the hole is there we jaust havent got the shelves put in yet. , we gt loads of comments as the bth room dosent look small evn though it is , , most expensive item the sqwat extra wide stone bath , made to order basin / tap ware and shower spray thing ,oh and the white stone vanity which we had made to order as well , due to the sizing .

Hi Deonne If your bathroom requires the two doors, my suggestion is NOT to have a bath. Keep it very clean and neat Across the recess have either a walk-in shower with a 600mm opening OR a glass panel and door. You may consider a seat in the shower ( example on our website ) A recess ( niche ) for shower 300mm high max length Wall hung, all drawer vanity. In-wall cistern toilet suite. Mixer diverter, overhead and handheld shower. Quality tapware, with min 10-year warranty Porcelain floor tiles min 300 x 300. Tile to ceiling, ( unless home has high ceiling, if high, tile to an architrave height ) min tile size 600 x 300, Ceramic to rein in cost

We too live in a cold winter climate with our bathrooms all on the southern side and faced similar issues as you do. One smaller bathroom does not have a window so we put in a Velux skylight which provides amazing natural light through the day. This may not be to your liking, especially if you have a period home. We also use heated towel rails and under tile heating (just enough to take the chill off and stop mould) in winter. Although we have a light in the shower recess, a bonus is the large fixed shower head with inbuilt LED, which at night gives the feeling of showering under moonlight. We chose light colours and mirrored recessed cabinets to reflect as much natural light as possible.

your plans and 3D looks excellent and i think it's a fabulous idea and great use of the space..we once had a bath space that was only 1200 x 600 built under a sloping roof with side access only 700 wide... the space was walled and tiled without a tub. (including tiles up the sloping ceiling)..worked perfectly but you have the luxury of enough space to add a bathtub that will be so much more comfortable and easier to clean and a standard drop in bath with the straight end at the front and layback at the far end ..standard installation just rotated with a nice low lip on the bath to make a flat ledge to line up your bubble bath and ducks...challenge will be getting the bath into the space.. there and a lightweight (often cheaper) bath may be easier and/or the installers may have to make a hole in the wall for access from the other end or the side and then refinish the walls...there are plenty of bathtubs that would fit the space but you'll need to discuss best options with plumber and tiler as they don't usually like surprises and, if a custom vanity was under the stairs with the sink offsett to the high side and the toilet behind the door there would be more comfortable standing space in front of the bath, a bigger vanity with more storage and easy access for towel rails near the bath..but, regardless of the width of the actual toilet, it needs to be installed close to the door (not centred in the space) to allow enough shoulder room but that means the door needs to be closed for broad shouldered adults to use the toilet comfortably..but that's not such a bad idea and another option for extra light (even in a downstairs enclosed room) is a Solar Skylight mounted on the wall or ceiling..research illume and Arcol brands for more info)
