It will create focus in the kitchen and again front he simplicity of the Benchtops, The splash back could be anything, but subway are great I agree, there is also a DIY acrylic sheet from laminex called metaline which can be installed right over tile, you can even co yourself or have the cabinet maker do it. It has the appearance of a glass splash back with great colour choices. There is a pewter or grey metallic like argente perle, which would tie in your stainless appliances making it overall modern and clean. Good luck?

i do like the navaho rug in pic no1 navy and white are nice i am thinking to have that theme to follow through the rest of the house with cushions throws etc the stairwell will be painted white any other options? the bamboo flooring has been attached to the upright of rhe stairs i was thinking painting horizontal part of stairs white and have a runner in the middle

I love the arches in your house, makes me wonder what your main rooms are like. You seem to have a good plan and ideas, would you be able to keep te double oven and find some where else for the MW, it would save money. I agree with painting the Range hood tiles to match cabinets. Have you considered a gray colour for your cabinets, with laminated timber bench tops from Bunnings building section, not the kitchen as these are much cheaper, you would need 3 pieces. Not sure what the difference would be between laminate and these timber bench's which are much nicer. Some photos to show what I'am suggesting. Hace you considered white washing some of the bricks in the kitchen in particular the fridge wall bricks.
