How often do you clean your bathroom?
Comments (8)I do a thorough job weekly, but my partner has way higher standards of cleanliness and I do find him washing the sink and cleaning the shower doors on a daily basis. If he wants to do that, I don't complain about it. :)...See MoreHelp! Second thoughts on bathroom layout
Comments (20)considering all the other advice here's some more suggestions. ..showers are 1200mm x 800 - 900mm, three handbasins would each be about 700-800mm wide but, custom made with a single top and three small drop in sinks there would be more available counter space, matching mirrored wall cabinets would reflect light from wide, above door height windows on both sides with a solid timber hinged door and security screen (although a sliding door is the neatest and most waterproof privacy would be a problem and frosting the glass more expensive and not very private at night)...the best option will be the one that suits most of the users most of the time but it would be a shame not to have external access and there's plenty of space and so many possibilities...See MoreIndustrial grey or traditional grey bathroom?
Comments (24)Interesting range of comments - Is it that there is a general shift towards an industrial trend? Topic is far too close for comfort, as I have a bathroom being tiled in a couple of days, have had tiles for a couple of months now, so doubt does set in!! A while back I probably thought I would go towards a traditional look, but looks like I have moved towards the industrial - which the family are fully supportive of - young adults and husband. Our home is . . . transitional, though I hesitate labelling it. Also these images make me wonder if a cool grey is a more traditional look and a warm grey more representative of an industrial look or modern look? These are my tiles: Left pale grey/white for ensuite floor and walls, with white cabinetry work, centre mid grey for family bathroom & laundry floor, with white cabinetry work, right mid grey to darker grey for a large open plan area of kitchen/dinning/small sitting area. They all feature flecks of whites, greys, taupes, even tans and blue greys....See MoreBathroom layout help - awkward space at bathroom
Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See Moreoklouise
