Since we're talking Italy, the custom there is ideal but not too practical in a working day. Strip all covers back to the foot (so the parts that touch you in the night are exposed. Throw open all windows (no matter the season) to air and kill fungi/bacteria/mites/viruses. Remake bed at midday. If I'm at home I follow this method. To me, making the bed first thing is like trapping all those nasties in to breed while I'm away. I'd rather a 'fresh' than 'freshly made' bed anyday!

I like the idea of having more wall space in the Master Bedroom... The IT nook already has had the velux opening skylight installed in the roof (just needs to be fitted out at the ceiling). The idea of the IT nook, was a personal study for me. It was to replace the original study which did open directly into the kitchen/family room. I found it was a little too open, for when I had confidential documents spread out on my desk... The idea was to make the study 'less' accessible (not to family members, but overly familiar guests, at times..) In saying that, I quite like the look of your one, it has an element of separation with the hall.... I am going to consider changing it. I am liking your 'thinking outside the box', I'm curious, are you an interiors architect?

Thanks siriuskey. Yes I do want to use the frames I have and although Julie’s suggestion is probably the nicest, it’s not possible. That’s not to say another config won’t look good. Truth is I don’t have alot of wall space and I want to buy some large colourful artwork for two big walls that I do have. So I’ve narrowed down to two configurations. Which do you prefer? Montage and two horizontals or the cluster of 4? I do like the cluster but the lowest point will be quite low. It’s 120cm from highest to lowest points. Thanks everyone!!

Do you have beds , drawers , bedspreads , etc ? My suggestion is just go tidy and simple , but with 1 thing in each room to catch peoples attention -- by that I mean have a bed or two , bedspreads and pillows , drawers but also something on the wall or floor that people will focus on . I wouldn't go too young ( no cot etc ) or too old ( a grandmother chair , macrame wallhanging and a framed newspaper front page of 'World War One declared today' ) . If you have art in other rooms , maybe move it around , or get a $15 A0 poster frame from K Mart or similar , and an appropriate $10 poster for each room ( or a $300 abstract if you have one , or want to buy one for your new place ) , rugs if you have them -- basically look like people could move straight in . I had a flatscreen 55" TV that stopped working , and put it on-line for $5 thinking someone might want it for parts -- a building company bought it to put in a showhome so people could get an idea what the lounge looks like . I'm not suggesting that for a bedroom , but just outlining the idea that people want a 'visual' -- a potential buyer goes 'oh yeah -- that looks nice' rather than 'I wonder how full that empty room will be once I add a bed and drawers and desk and . . . . . '
