Hi Meck, My Beautiful Abode is right, decide the function you require first then select the style you desire. For your corner window, you could have a combination of roller blinds for light control as well as a consistent look to the facade if you are doing other rooms also with roller blinds. Then have floor to ceiling, white linen-like sheers, softly flowing from an 's' track, going around the corner inside the bedroom for that fabulous resort-like simplicity and elegance. If you wanted a decorative track then curtains (in a fabric of your choice) that close in to the corner, like the image below might be the answer. Cheers, Michelle

I think during the day, you might mostly have blinds raised, allowing sheers to show, which from outside will look fine. In the evening, you will likely have blinds down for privacy so I don't think it matters so much. Function before aesthetic. Having said that, speak to a few blind companies and find out the best way to install (inside window frame or outside) so that the look from outside is seamless when blinds are down. I'm thinking if installed just a bit beyond the frame width, no gaps at sides of blinds will show.

As the windows are framed individually I would also suggest two separate roman blinds. Set up to the height of the picture rail will accentuate the ceiling height and tie in with the architecture of the room. To have the blinds at this height will also allow you to see through 100% of the window area when the blinds are open. Where these blinds hang to will also be important to consider. I would suggest the base of the two romans be set to the top of the sill, as to set them lower will show the sill extensions on the left and right sides sticking out. All the best!

I've got a similar setup as Picture 2 and have procrastinated for 4 years about how to treat the door/window. Blinds are tricky as they need to be mounted at different heights (assuming you have one attached to the door) which will look odd. My only option appears to be a free curtain that can be swept to either side, depending on whether we are using the door or want the views out the window. I regret installing this configuration though and wish I had thought more deeply about it when we were building.
