I would personally stick to white cabinets... I know, not very original... but I think white works best with timber benchtops... and black/white/timber is a fail-proof/timesless combo imo... But if you wanted to inject a bit of colour... and based on your coastal theme description... then I would suggest maybe duck egg blue?... do a search of "duck egg blue kitchen" in photos on Houzz AU

Hi thinkoutsidethebox, As a bathroom vanity retailer we can confirm that the trend is a preference for wall mounted vanities by far when compared to floor mounted vanities. Wall mounted vanities appear more modern, make the room feel more spacious, show off your tiles, and give the opportunity for open showers as water damage is reduced due to the cabinet being up off the floor. Due to the reduced storage, we also recommended face level storage such as a mirror cabinet which is more comfortable to use everyday with reduced bending to access drawers or cupboards below. You may also want to choose a vanity with the basins over the top of the bench top as recessed basins (basins that are under the bench top) will further compromise the storage of the cabinet. You may also have to consider the current plumbing outlet of your vanity in the space you are renovating as you may need to move plumbing inside the wall if the current outlet goes to the floor within (hidden inside) the cabinet. In some cases such as if your floor is a concrete slab, you may need an engineer to confirm if you can “chase” the slab be able to relocate the plumbing. All the additional work and cost to reconfigure the plumbing should also be considered when deciding to have a wall mounted or floor mounted vanity. Hi Kate, yes the view is pretty impressive! The vanity is double drawers with a total length of around 1.6m so you'll find there is a heap of under counter storage. Being Italian cabinetry, they also maximize space by doing clever things like plumbing cutouts... this means that instead of loosing the entire area under where the plumbing sits in the vanity, you only loose a portion. That said, we are working with past clients at the moment to see how their spaces have worked for them over time and I will make sure I ask the client about storage as it would be super interesting to know if they have enough! thanks for the feedback!
