Monument or Night sky for wide fascia?

I am so confused. We are changing our roof, the roof will be in zincalume and the wide fascia in colourbond. I was orginally going with monument for fascia and down pipes and will paint windows same colour. The house is north facing and I am not sure monument will be dark enough in sunlight. will nightsky look good? I like the dark colours to dramatise and make it a more modern look.

* What colour would you choose for the garage to complement the roof?

It's hard to choose. You can get paint tinted to both those though and try them out and see what you think, we did exactly that recently when trying to choose a new roller door for our place, we ended up with night sky. Our brick is a lot darker than yours though.

The darker the better, black looks fabulous with cream brick , really adds a wow factor.

thanks Daria :) yes I'm pretty happy with the result... and am glad I went with the lighter colour fascia in the end as you can see the edge of the fascia under the eaves from the upstairs windows, and the light colour blends in nicely with the white eaves... otherwise you would see a dark edge all around the eaves everyt time you look out the window

Hi Alisdair! If you're keeping the brick and roof as are then I'd pick a colour from the brick. If my monitor is right, then I think I see a kind of purply-brown or Sydney 'liver' brick in the darker bricks. Are you brave enough for a bit of aubergine on the fascia and window frames to pick up on that? I'd stick with a pale pale tan under the eaves, taken from the brick colour, to better bounce light around. Also, your front door is pretty recessed and could probably do with a pick me up. If you're game, bright green. If that's too far, then the pale tan out of the bricks. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated ! Is monument for Windows really black, the same as the roof or is it like a dark grey? I have seen photos of monument Windows & in some pics it looks dark grey but the. monument on the roof looks black? I am having the same window color throughout the house & not keen on monument if it's more a dark grey. I'm having feature walls in domino so would prefer black Windows & black hexagon Mosaic tiles for splash back, sublime teak cabinetry Windows. What are your thoughts?

Here are some colour ideas... the top right is my home with colourbond "Wallaby" on the gable and colourbond "monument" down pipe.. wallaby is a brown undertone grey. I used it full strength (in dulux) however you can reduce down to 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 strength etc... as you can also do with the other two colours below... I still suggest test pots first..

I think night sky would look fabulous. I would also paint the full garage/new roller door, in night sky as well. The dark colour will make the greenery stand out. Your home is going to look wonderful.

Those photos really help to visualise it. Thanks everyone , I will defintetly go with Night sky now.

I might paint a small are of the garage night sky and see how I like it. A lot of that greenary between garage and front door is gone now.
