Steam Oven?
Comments (19)I also think that VZug combi steam XSL should be fine mounting under bench. In 2012/2013 catalogue, a larger oven combair steam S and other have an installation sketch for under bench location. I couldn't find any of VZug installation instruction online. Knowing that VZug produces combi steam oven for Wolf, there is a Wolf installation guide that you can down load here: Wolf CSO installation guide. There is no sketch for under bench installation. On the other hand, there is no explicit requirement saying that it cannot be installed under bench either....See Morelooking at new kitchen any ideas
Comments (2)Think about soft close drawers and cupboards and think about going handless. A pyrolitic oven is a must (truly one of the best kitchen innovations EVER!). Oh, and as you gaze longingly at the expensive European ovens - think about oven capacity - I recently needed a new oven and Westinghouse made a 60cm oven with the largest internal capacity Easy maintenance splash backs - I like mirror (clean them with diluted vinegar or metho) , and you can always have a stainless steel section behind your cooktop for super easy cleaning. Kickboard drawers are a clever way to deal with trays that aren't used every day. Incorporate your appliances where you can. LED strip lighting (warm white) for under your cabinets (upper and lower - upper helps with task lighting and under base cabinets is very stylish and means that of an evening you dont have to put on overheads if you want a snack after dinner. If you decide to use tiling for splashback or floor - go with rectified tiles so you can get a smaller grout line. Think about an undermounted sink and have your "drainer board" if you want one channelled into your benchtop assuming you're looking at a solid benchtop. Think about engineered stone - while natural stone is gorgeous it can be a lot of work if you have a busy family as acids and food colours can mark lighter natural stone easily. To look at basic options check out http://kaboodle.com.au they do standard sized DIYer kitchens but their planning tools can help you fine tune your ideas and what works for you even if you end up going to a kitchen designer. If you do go to a kitchen designer - use the ideasbook facility on this site - just put in all the images you like to allow them to get the feel for your style and likes. Comments (2)Hi Simone, oklouise has provided good advice. If it is of any further help, it is our expierience that most steam ovens are designed to vent within their own space and so yes they can generally be installed either in a tower or underbench and you should have no difficulty finding a steam oven for this purpose. But as oklouise points out, check with the manufacturer's specs to make sure you don't buy one that can't be installed underbench....See MoreTwo ovens, with bench in between
Comments (5)I see you have a 2nd post on the same issue with lots of comments, ATo. Do you need actually two ovens? We only have two because it was to replace an old oven/microwave stack and a double oven was all that could fit. We don't use the bottom oven since having young children in the house. A lock solves one issue, but doesn't deal with the risk of burns. Your kitchen space is bigger than mine, so don't think it is small, but the door to outside limits layout options. I had been playing around whether could change my U shape kitchen to have direct access to the outside eating area, but have found that it compromises what I can fit in. Perhaps have a rethink about the entire layout and what storage you need rather than go ahead with plans which don't really work....See Moresc42355
