Bathroom Reno Ideas
Comments (17)Hi Bree, Our main bathroom is identical to ur bathroom. We r about have our bathroom renovated as well. Is ur toilet next to the bathroom as u walk in the door? We have our toilet next to the bathroom. There is a void space in front of the toilet that also leads into the bathroom. We r moving our toilet forward into the void as a individual room. We r then moving the opening to the bathroom a little further down the hall. The area that was the toilet is being reframed to be included into the bathroom and will be a shower that will be double the size of the current shower. Therefore we have a lot more space freed up with the shower moved for a larger vanity and bath. This was the only way we could keep everything in the bathroom without it looking so pokey. I hope this makes sense. Pls let me know if I'd doesn't and I can draw it up....See MoreBathroom Renovation Results

Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See MoreBudget bathroom reno: colour ideas needed
Comments (15)The colour downstairs is okay , but the upstairs work so far almost looks like a waste IMO . Not much has changed , except some black fittings . Yes , I know , the vanities are new and the basin is a different shape -- stuff you'd almost miss if you didn't know . You have old style bath , old style tiles , old style glass or plastic panel , with old style pink frames . At the very least , I'd change the glass and frame and basically anything that looks old , and you pretty much have to go with a black or charcoal frame and tinted glass . From the tiles up , white walls . A black framed mirror . A nice feature light or downlights . A couple of potplants in colourful glazed pots . Pick a colour , and go with it . So the pots , towels , liquid soap dispensers , toothbrush holders , bathmat , even the shaver on the wall -- all in green or yellow or red or something you like -- black will get boring real quick IMO , but also keep away from white accessories -- that would be too much !...See MoreKate
