Set your WIR back a bit off the corridor and have a wall of cabinetry along the hall wall. It would give great storage space.

Yes, It’s the alternative to long hall, making better use of space. I gave a sense of hall with the short wall and door swing so you can’t see the bed from this doorway. A lovely painting opposite the door and it looks like a hall. I note that you have view from deck into bedroom anyway.

There is nothing wrong with your long hall.

what views do you have out all three big windows, can you add the size and location of the windows and where is north?...

@oklouise, north is right hand side (where the front entrance is). The large western window in the bedroom is a highlight window and the eastern opening from the room is a sliding door out to the deck. There are no views from any of the windows in the bedroom.

There are district views from the eastern windows from he dining and kitchen and I am trying to capture some morning light from there.

All windows can be resized and moved if necessary.

And another thought to consider, the ensuite could have a tub, this long space could be rearranged to suit. The entrance into the master would have a fitted robe down one side with and with out doors,

Light would come from the bedroom, which could have an additional door between the robe and ensuite

@oklouise thanks for that. I quite like the bigger wardrobe area and alternate ensuite layout! Now thinking if we should have hangers/draws etc. below the window (which is a highlight window).

@siriuskey your alternate design is something to consider too, though we probably prefer having the wardrobes within an enclosed space.

@C P yes and no. One of the bedrooms on the plan is actually a formal living area already but it is an option to covert it into a bedroom. We felt a master bedroom with robe and ensuite better suited our needs rather than having another living area.

Another thought, the family bathroom appears quite small so you could add a powder room in part of the new floorplan or even take the powder room space into the second ensuite. You should be able to fit a long narrow mirroed wall cabinet between the Vanity and the highlight window, depending on the depth of the window

Slight change adding double pocket doors into bathroom which will add extra light and Fresh air into the WIR
