That looks so much better. Definitely make chair covers for the rest. I've used aqua accessories in my room- a throw, some coasters and a leaf shaped bowl for the table which has a silver outside. You can always change the accessories with the seasons (I have a red throw for Christmas time) . I'm also having a dilemma with a large window. Initially I'd wanted plantation shutters in white to replace the dark red cedar venetians which made the room gloomy, but I'm now thinking of softening with semi-sheer curtains. It is only partially overlooked in one corner and the rest looks out onto a wall that is less than 1 metre away.

I think always start with the lowest hanging fruit... start with what is unsafe then if you are living in it while you renovate do the inside next, as it will bug you more. I think replacing the balustrade and installing new timber doors would give it a great lift. Rendering really changes things, but i think it's not always necessary so do the other stuff and see. I don't think the roof will matter so much when you update things. Don't forget to update the front garden, those little conifers really date the house and a contemporary garden, maybe with natives, would really add something too. I think the green garage doors need to be at least repainted if not replaced. choose a colour that makes them fade rather than stand out.

It has a cute cottage vibe and you’re lucky with the roof and gutter colour. I’d bump up the window appeal by adding trim and replace the verandah posts with wood. Would you consider a colour change? Is a new fence in the budget? The house only needs minor changes, the bulk of the improvement need to be focused on landscaping. A picket fence and cottage garden would add massive street appeal.
