Hi Anna, decorating is about uniting your colours and with the exception of the little freeze tile in the kitchen, I can't see anywhere that you have incorporated the green. Green is very in now and in a small space, being a receding colour, it will make it appear larger. Replacing the blinds with contemporary classic style (which will merge the period and modern), green or and green and white roman blinds, would be a great start. A leaf pattern is gender neutral and introduces a natural theme. Contrast is required and to keep it simple, add black! Keep the green fan lights, add green, black and white accessories, indoor plants (of the same green) and you'll be right to go. You could also change up the lighting pendants to period styled dark green metal. These are readily available and budget minded. De-clutter! Add an artwork that unites all the colours and bounces off your blinds. Never forget art! When you have a simple plan, and colours that are easily available in the cheaper stores, you can quickly and affordably decorate for a quick sell.

As you've probably figured out, overheating in buildings is cause by solar gain - ie, direct radiation from the sun coming in through the windows. There's a few options to reduce that. You can get adhesive tint film that you can put on the windows. That will reduce the solar gain slightly. Most likely, the glass roof is where much of the sun is coming in. A retractable awning or shade sail might do the trick by reducing the amount of direct sun coming in. The advantage of this options is you could remove the awning during winter when you're not getting so much sun. You might also look at some kind of louvres or horizontal slats on the outside to create some shading, which would reduce the amount of sun coming in. Basically, you want to put something in place to block direct sunlight while still allowing natural light and your view to outside.

I love your view! There's options here, and they'll be led by where your blinds are installed in my opinion. It looks like you might need to install the blinds to the face of the architraves, in which case, I'd be selecting pale blinds to sit outside the window as they'll, hopefully be up out of the way most of the time. If they fit inside the recess, then I'd select dark.
