It is a very unique chair, If you go cow hide you would want to match hide on the chair. You will get away with it in a large room. In a small room I would keep rug simple.

Unique is a very good word....

Rugs are one of the hardest things to pick. But no to a cowhide rug. It’s hard to see what other colours you have in your decor but a rug with muted tones as texture would work. Or a vintage-style Persian-style would be bolder but also work.

In FNQ a rug is really for looks as you don’t need it for warmth underfoot. So I’d leave your corner rugless as your chair and floor is already a feature.

Such a unique chair, you could always layer rugs , your circular rug or a textured rug layered with a hide rug for a fabulous look for that chair
