How to transform this into a bungalow?
Comments (32)Wow! I've just woken (time difference Down Under) to check the enormous response from all. I'm absolutely thrilled & I will need some time to read through and analyse all the wonderful input, thanks so much. I'm very keen to search MCM. I love Queenslanders but thought that was trying to change the style into something its not to so was swaying towards a bungalow style of a home. We are located in the hinterland of the Gold Coast in Qld and want a home that suits our surrounds. I do not like modern I like cottage/bungalow style if thats possible. Its now 'get ready' for school time, so I'll be back. Thank you for all your ideas and opening my mind. Some ideas I have in pics attached....See MoreHow can I transform this area into an outdoor living space?
Comments (12)metal posts can be bolted to the concrete floor with a metal bracket called a "stirrup" there's a brand called Uni-pier with multiple sizes available at the major hardware stores and then attach sections of plastic lattice (friendlier for attaching plants) ...make sure the posts are installed at standard distances to suit the size of the panels..eg four panels 1200 wide x 2400 tall installed between 5 posts would allow for a wide doorway at one end or two panels could be installed horizontally between three posts with gaps at the top and bottom with a line of big oblong shaped pots for climbing plants and wall hung pots could be attached to the lattice...See MoreTransformation of an underused space to this elegant formal lounge.
Comments (11)Thanks for your lovely comments. Robandlyn - I'm afraid I don't know the paint colour because we didn't actually change it. I could find out if you're really keen? Girlguides - thanks so much, you're so right - a rug can really anchor the space and give it purpose. And Fiona W - thanks lovely, that was exactly my intention! So pleased you like it....See MoreOpen Plan Office Transformation - Before & After
