What a lovely house, a paint update will look really exciting! Contrary to all the colours you've chosen, I'd go instead with a warm grey (hint of taupe in it). It will always be classic, would look amazing with fresh white window frames and dark charcoal eaves (e.g. Dulux Monument). Cue my favourite colour: Dulux Dieskau. I just think there's quite a large area of uninterrupted rendered wall so I'd worry that if you go too bluish, it could look to be verging on pastel and a gingerbread house type effect. My brother painted Tranquil Retreat on his rendered Victorian and it has come up more blue than he'd thought (actually he was also considering Milton Moon). But of course, test paint a few walls sections with different aspects and check during the day from different angles (and even across the road)!! Actually there's another photo and paint colour I love that reminded me of this, I'll try and track it down.

Thank you for your feedback. Black would tie in with the front fence & we need to buy a new roller door so having that in black too would tie it all together. I’m also thinking if we change the front door to Black it would work too. Does anyone favour white?

In an older home like yours, which is possibly a post-war home with some art-deco influences and a 1980's extension to the rear a contrasting gutter and fascia is the way to go. When these elements are contrasted it visually slims down the width of the fascia and gutter. The same colour for both does the reverse and makes it seem larger and heavier. With your terracotta roof tiles and red brick I would go with the an olive green for the gutters to counterbalance the orangeness of the other elements and co-ordinate with the front blinds. I wonder if the drive is purposely supposed to be darker -- the water meter or whatever that is in that circular concrete ring is a lot lighter ? The garage door is a shocker -- it just looks like a whole wall of nothing . I like the warmth of timber , and with the wall colours , I'd go a cedar or similar slightly redder coloured wood , as opposed to a honey gold tone . In fact , I think the entrance door is that tone , but I can't be sure ? Failing that idea of a timber door ( it won't be cheap , but not super expensive either , and I think good value , but its still $$$ ) then paint will help . I personally would go for red , orange or yellow tones , but as robandlyn says , charcoal would also suit . The other thing I'd be tempted to do is painting those barge boards around the top , probably in charcoal . There's not too much wrong with the white , except it is too close colour wise and attitude wise , to the wall sandy beige . And yes , knock yourselves out with gardens -- white stone , bark , cactus , lancewood , red leaves , green leaves , grasses , tall and slim , low and wide , just maybe not roses . . . . . . . . . .
