The top plan only seems to give you 200mm to get into the shower. That is very tight.

Second plan is better in my opinion. A walk in shower screen ideally should be 1200mm. So in the second plan reduce it to that, at the moment is showing 1400mm. The entrance to shower needs to be 700mm or greater. If you tile the entire right hand wall, then any shower spray, which should be minimal if 1200mm screen, can be easily wiped down. Ensure drainage is done correctly and that shower recess should be good. Extend the vanity completely across to bottom wall. The space is tight for a toilet user, but workable if you are not bigger than average people.

I’d swop the toilet and vanity as you need somewhere to hang the loo roll and I’m assuming that the shower is all glass and not a wall

@Kate We were thinking that having the shower rose on wall B might help reduce the splash out.

@bigreader The opening is 400mm, but we were thinking 500-600mm would be a better option. A shorter panel might increase splash zone?

@dreamer We were aiming for a 600mm entrance. Extending the vanity across could be an option (the current layout is showing a 600mm vanity) - this might give us more space for the toilet (we are not bigger than average) or a larger vanity.

@K s Could certainly be an option - we just thought with this, it would save the first thing you saw when opening the door from being the toilet. We were thinking to attach toilet roll to wall behind toilet or on the vanity itself.

Think you will see more of the toilet in current position rather than having it tucked up against entry door wall, you could always have a frameless shower screen door put on that would solve both the width to get into shower and water splash.

I can't see where you have mentioned a window?, but you could try something like this with or without a shower door

Thanks @siriuskey not a bad suggestion. I'm guessing that could be a full partition wall for the shower, or half partition with glass panel on top?

I'm a bit reluctant to build nib or partition walls as I'm worried it will make the space seem even smaller, and may make remedying problems more costly?

Forgot to mention that there are no windows in the bathroom :/ though there is a skylight above the open space where the vanity is.

@siriuskey This is exactly what we discussed after seeing your initially suggestion with the nib wall! Thank you, we're exploring this option now with some of the contractors we've spoken to.

If moving the door is possible, doesn't break the bank and works with the bedroom I think it will be a great layout for your new ensuite
