Render Paint Colour Dilemma
Hi Houzzers!
I’m looking at rendering the brick facade I’ve recently painted the cladding Tranquil Retreat and the window frames and garage door are woodlands grey, would love suggestions/recommendations on a colour to paint the render.
Photo 2 is a colour card to show the direction I may be going in (Stepney)
Happy to take suggestions on drieway colours
note: the lettebox is being removed and I am getting one bricked in and rendered, the retaining wall (garden) is also being rendered

Help needed for exterior update : render and/or paint, what color?
Comments (16)The grey on the western wall looks dark and purplish on my monitor. It may come over as too imposing and monolithic on the southern face. If you're sticking with the grey palette then a warmer tone would suit the sandstone better. Does Dulux have a colour palette recommendation that includes your Berkshire White plus a grey? Check online or in store pamphlets. But, for such a big, expensive, and impactful paint job I would actually be tempted to get a colour consultant. I'm at render stage and would love it to be white but the renderer I spoke with this morning said to think long and hard about 'white! as it gets dirty very easily especially taking into account the recent dust-storm, not to mention the ash and smoke from the ongoing bushfires. I would like to know: how your respective white renders are coming along in regards to appearance, staining and maintenance; and what type of render and render finish do you have? Comments (7)Thanks heaps Lesley. We ended up choosing timeless grey as the main render and sticking with all our previous choices. We found a house being built in it literally a few streets away so have seen it in all lights and weather conditions and feel it will look good. Fingers crossed!!...See More
