Just looking for ideas to decorate/utilise this unused concrete space in front of garage. Garage is currently used as a gym. I've attached a photo of what it's next to.
Hi belinda, looks like you have a big yard behind house. I would close the drive area off with planters all around opp garage door so it becomes a private extension of gym. A bit of oasis so you can do some gym outside.
It looks like theres a gate there , and although you mightn't envisage using the garage for vehicles in the near future , you may sell or your use may change -- in other words , don't plonk anything permanent there .
Just a general observation too -- IMO the house with white window surrounds looks a lot more balanced than the garage with a grey door . Personally , I'd do the garage door in white , and then all the fence and probably the deck in a charcoal . That may be in your plans , or you may disagree , just a quick observation .
Area looks like it would get plenty of sun. Purchase planter stands that have wheels, and either install wonderful green foliage plants, or a vegetable garden. These planters could sit anywhere along perimeter of area, or even right in the middle. On wheels they are able to be moved if required. Bunnings have the planters below.
You could make it as an extension of your gym, a pergola that you could cover with an all year roof, an outdoor rug, outdoor furniture, and of course gorgeous planters and lush plants, could be a fabulous relaxing area after gym.
