I'd be inclined to make a feature of the panels - painted a dark grey or blue with a white trim. Also, have you thought of extending the marble look tiles into the laundry?

Dark Brunswick Green

Thanks squirrel30. My photos are probably a little confusing. The bench with sink and one row of propped up tiles is actually the laundry, and that is where I need the colour suggestions. Your dark gray/blue could work in that room as there’s plenty of light coming in, but may be too much of a contrast with the adjoining family room which will be painted a green shade.

Given that’s it’s vinyl and not the most appealing I’d be looking at replacing it. Otherwise I agree with a dark-ish grey.

Thanks bigreader - looks like the darkish gray might be the go. Unfortunately that flooring extends throughout the family and kitchen areas of the house which adjoin the laundry, so a bit beyond the budget to replace at this stage.

If you want to keep it very soft and light then Terrace White a great choice. If stark is your concern its a great opportunity to add some more interest with colour/depth.

Colour wise, something to compliment the terracotta but sits well with grey could be Dulux Snow Season Quarter or Subdue Half. Darker you could try Wet clay or match the darkest colour in the marble vein. Please check paint samples first.
