Hi Italian girl, with your natural white walls what colour did you end up doing your ceiling and skirting? Also is the natural white throwing any yellow at all. I also have an open plan downstairs with a grey concrete floor tile. We are using malay grey on our fireplace and am struggling with choosing the right white for the walls. Was thinking of going with Snowy Mountains but might try natural white after seeing yours.

Hi rachemacdonald Natural white is one of my favourite interior whites. It's not too creamy but still warm and not cold and sterile. Use low sheen on walls. Use half strength on the ceilings in a flat finish. (The ceiling acts as a reflector to bounce light around the room.) The trims - arch, skirts, windows and doors can be half strength in a satin finish. This will modernise the space and make it feel more spacious. Best wishes.

Miss Lucy, we are looking at SM / SMH. Flooring will be a warm oak (not too warm) and furnishings tbc but probably a soft grey. How do you find the paint works in your house. What sort of colour scheme re kitchen Cabinets, benchtop, furnishing fixtures etc . ... Id rather have the other work done and then decide on colour but need to get colour to cabinet maker ASAP ... sigh Who knew so many whites. Kitchen is north facing . Living and Master south facing so just makes things harder!

tysm. that's a great help. my kitchen will be in laminex chalk white with some laminex classic oak bits. A bit nervous about the chalk white as I cant find any examples of it online but will see how it looks when it is installed and match wall paint to that. s m half looks best match with the sample. my.
