Need ideas for a pergola

Hi all, I'm currently renovating my back yard and have almost finished installing my louvred roof pergola. Now I guess I'm close to being in a position for furniture or some ideas on how to make the area actually work.
The pergola area is 4m x 2.5m and 2.3m high. Blinds will be automated to enclose the area in the winter time or keep any flies out in the summer.
I would like to keep the decking to minimise costs and think it may just need a protection coat. Any recommendations on a good product to use please? 😊
My window is direct access into the kitchen so I'd like to use this window for passing for prepped food etc.
The area I feel could be used as a lounge area with a sofa and projector on the internal wall. I plan to put wall mounted heater and fan in here to make liveable all year around. I'm going to move the garden hose out of this area and possible build a timber overlay to hide the retic timer.

You could turn your window into a serving area , find gorgeous outdoor furniture, decking is great, add a large outdoor rug under your setting, along with your great ideas of blinds and heating it could be an all round year outdoor space

Is the carport roof attached to the main roof of the house? Is there any way that you can get a garden width down the side of the decking/side fence for a screening plant running the full length? The area could be one long raised area with various pots, vegetable boxes etc, but I feel that you need a divide between the decking and the fence. The next door visible shed should be hidden. You could put lattice the full height to the upper timbers, but a screen plant here would look better. I think having the steps down the full width of the decking would also look better then the middle area steps. And I would take it around the full decking area. Don't paint any of the timbers as this will lead to ongoing, constant maintenance, unless you are not using external timber. A Glory vine over the timbers would help to provide summer shade and is fast growing when pruned heavily in winter, or else you could consider Boston ivy.

Hi LesleyH, I'm trying to decide on a colour scheme for my house at the moment as we're getting it painted next week! Decisions, decisions. A picture of the front part of my house is attached. I am thinking of painting the walls in dulux tranquil retreat, keeping the trims crisp white, awning will be surfmist and I can't decide on whether I choose momentum or surfmist for the gutters. What do you think? Roof at the front of the house will remain the brown/orangey colour (it'll get resprayed next year when we have the money). I am thinking of making the pergola at the back of the house all white except the roof will be surfmist in colour. I really don't know...does that sound ok to you?

Hello! Lovely space, I have a huge soft spot for these bathrooms. To honour what it is, but make it more enjoyable for your uses PLANTS PLANTS PLANTS. I would either install some shelving to have some dangling vines (or equivalent look) plants up high, or use a hanging fixture into the ceiling. That far corner above the bath would be great. + A large (and tall) pot plant and some smaller ones wherever you can fit them. On top of this, I would replace the doily curtain to a more modern look, perhaps white, wooden blinds? If you can do further work from here, it would be accessories, like the towel rail, and tap ware. Something a little Art Deco for your taps would look amazing. Finish with large, fluffy white towels and bathmats to conceal as much of the colour as possible and brighten the space and a big candle or three, maybe a white stool or ladder too.

Julie’s ideas are great. If you plan to hide hose area, I would suggest building cabinet around it and extend the serving counter all the way from the window and over the cabinet. It will give you extra space to set up a buffet and still allow you to install a tv above the counter.
