My gutters seem to be too low...and I want to install some bitumen flashing under the roof tiles and in front of fascia..Should it lap inside the gutter or behind ?
When you climbed up and took the photos , did you take a garden hose with you ? Why I ask is that most rain is steady as opposed to torrential ( depending where you live obviously ) , the tiles aren't at a real steep angle , and there's this thing called gravity haha . Basically , I suspect if you turn the hose on , you'll see the water run down the roof , and fall into the gutters -- it doesn't carry on at the same angle , even if its pretty heavy rain .
And I'd say talk to your roofers about the bitumen flashing -- I suspect that behind the guttering would be fine , but they should be the experts . And it sounds like you are lifting some of the tiles to do this -- make sure you get someone reputable -- no use fixing one area but creating leaks somewhere else .
