Comments (40)Congratulations Mark! I really like the drawings that you did up with the new door and deck at the front. It makes a huge difference to the house. I think the all grass look at the front is a bit much. It would benefit from some sort of pathway to the deck, but I don't have the imagination of the other Houzzers, but I love what you have done so far....See MorePerth Extension/Renovation - 1950's Brick & Tile 3x1
Comments (29)Well, it has been a long (and sometimes painful) process but we are nearly at the end of the extension/renovation. We ended up going with a building designer (Dalecki Design) who made a few changes we really hadn't considered (including moving the existing bathroom) which may have cost slightly more but completely changed and improved the master bedroom space. Without the pool it will be close to the upper end of our original budget but still within what we were hoping for so fairly happy with that. Overall the new living area is amazing and filled with light compared to the old design. Will throw in some photo updates once we have finally converted the front yard from a sand pit and finished off the driveway, garage door and fencing....See MoreWhat order do we renovate?
Comments (4)We have an electrician in the family, so that's sorted. These are the things that the real estate agent said needed redoing before selling, he said it was the difference between high 6's & low 8's. We are one of the few single story homes in our area, which is apparently extremely sought after. No one is pulling down 30 year old houses in this suburb, just renovating or extending & sub dividing is not an option. We wanted to put in a granny flat & were turned down. Which is why we are building & moving. :)...See MoreWhat colour should I paint my fireplace?
