please share me you ideas on how to decorate our tv unit.

Any suggestions how to decor this tv unit. And my couches is black. I want to add small decor items inside the tv unit open area!

A tray with black beautiful pieces to one side of tv or pick up the colour in rug in ceramic pieces, for inside unit, keep it simple, a few designer books, don’t add too much as it may look cluttered and detract from your rug

How about a beautiful timber option? The below are Blackheart Sassafras but Black Butt, Spotted Gum.... Lots of choice and each one individual. Then choose some box frames and place randomly on the wall? DIY the interiors if you have the craft gene, with one colour included in each box to promote coordination. Make them personal or quirky or humorous and change them about as the mood takes.

I see what you mean with the mirror, maybe a large light canvas artwork would be more suitable using the command hooks, I think if you pick up the blue in your rug you can choose another rug to go in couch area, you don’t need to match it pattern wise, looks beautiful to have different rugs in similar toning maybe think about the lamps also with your little one , don’t want to topple over onto them, maybe artwork, luxury cushions and throws and plants in a low heavy pot that won’t tip over could look beautiful until you feel safe to add them, love your furniture.

In the 3rd picture , we can see the potplants , the artwork and the exterior , and IMO it looks more pleasant than the other 2 pics , which look pretty styled and impersonal . The wall above the second unit ( the dining area ) needs an artwork to balance the TV on the other side , and maybe its just me , but I think the 2 units are a bit light in colour -- in the pictures , they almost look 'fake timber' , a bit lacking in warmth against the offwhite walls , and even against the dining table ( the dining table , even though its lighter , looks better IMO ) . Others may disagree , just my taste . I also don't think the 2 light styles quite gel -- I understand what you were trying to do , but it hasn't quite worked in my eyes . I love the dining table ones , the lounge one is a bit too meh for me .

A round table would look great, oval or oblong would fit nicely also, measure your space carefully as you need room to navigate around the spy.

For inside the unit

For the cord hanging down.

For on top.

Im not a fan of things obstructing my view of the tv if im watching, I have subtitles because my house sounds like it has a million people in it and I can never hear a whole convo on the tv.

Do you mean inside the open shelves?

Decorative storage boxes in coordinating colours. If you don't need the storage yet you might later so don't waste shelving you already have and don't clutter it up with impersonal 'decor' stuff. It's also easier to dust than a hodgepodge of tchotchkes.

Yes inside, I have a open shelf unit too and I cant stand looking at stuff. My baskets have a false back to hide cords or controllers and game cases. I can access them easily still I just dont like the look of them sitting there.

If you are very careful with your selection and keep it minimal it could look beautiful.
