I’d put the shower external and consider a toilet instead. I think door needs to be shifted to one side.

try for an external shower for rinsing then a toilet and full wall of laundry space. you will need to relocate the door as well. sort of similar to these photos below.

if you want to avoid relocating the door, you can flip this layout and end up with sink below window. very similar to the first photo.

Yes I’d prob eliminate the dining door to avoid conflict adding a sliding door were window is. At present laundry door prob stays open when someone in laundry so no blind opening but with shower in their that will change

you can stack them and introduce a pull out drawer in between which works as a surface for you to work on. sometimes, due to space restrictions/window locations and such, people have to stack their machines.

Thats fine if you’re only washing for one but if its for a family of four you have four piles which i don't think will fit on your drawer. i have a pull out drawer under my microwave for putting hot dishes on.

Nice problem to have — a laundry that doubles as a pool shower is genuinely one of the more practical additions you can make to an external laundry, especially in Sydney where the pool season runs long.

With a 2.25m x 1.65m room and an 0.8m door sitting 0.5m from the house-side wall, here's a layout that tends to work well:

Suggested zoning

• Shower corner (nearest the door): Since your door is close to the house-joining wall, put the shower in the opposite corner (furthest from the house, closest to the pool side). This keeps wet pool-goers from tracking through the whole room to reach the shower, and keeps splash away from the laundry appliances. A 900mm x 900mm shower (with a simple hinged or sliding glass panel) fits comfortably and leaves the rest of the room dry.
• Appliances along the back wall: Run your washer and dryer (stacked or side-by-side) along the long wall opposite the door. A stacked unit is worth considering here — it frees up floor space, which matters in a room this size.
• Trough/bench near the door: A slim laundry trough or bench close to the entry is handy for dumping wet towels or rinsing pool gear before anyone even steps further in.
• Flooring and drainage: Slope the floor slightly toward a floor waste near the shower, and use a fully tiled, waterproofed finish (not just around the shower) since the room will regularly get wet from pool traffic, not just from the shower itself.
• Ventilation: An exhaust fan is worth prioritising given the room will see more moisture than a typical internal laundry.

One thing to watch: with only 1.65m of width, once you've got a 900mm shower in one corner, you'll have roughly 750mm of clear width for the appliances/bench run — tight but workable if you go with slimline (600mm-ish) front-loaders rather than wider models.
