Pressed metal kitchen splashbacks
Comments (17)Hi Jacey Eve, How is your splashback coming along? We are the manufacturers of the Pressed Tin Panels product (yes we sell it too - but believe we know what we are talking about- most of us who work here have a pressed metal splashback at home too!) I believe the great responses have covered what we would recommend for the panels as a splashback and that is the powder coating. It makes them a non-porous and easy to clean surface as well as a long lasting, good looking surface. With basic care it will remain that way for many, many years to come. We believe it is very competitively priced and an easy DIY product to install. If we can provide you (or anyone else reading this) a sample, prices, details of stockists, an install guide or a quote just let me know mardi@pressedtinpanels.com Visit our website for more info and ideas: www.pressedtinpanels.com Regards Mardi...See MoreKitchen splashback advice
Comments (15)I have just chosen my kitchen and family room colours and decided to stick to white floors, cabinetry, green glass painted white splashback which gives a lovely soft green colour and shitake ceaserstone benchtops. Once this is installed I will bring in colour with vases and accessories. Main concern is any colour you bring in will date quickly and you will get tired of it. if you keep it simple you can dress it up. It is a huge decision so chose carefully, your kitchen specialist is always a good guide, listen to their suggestions. Good luck....See MoreTiled kitchen splashback advice
Comments (14)My two cents worth would be to extend the tiles to cover everything below the canopy of the extractor (could go higher but that would be the minimum) and use that as your level on the other wall. So you ignore the curved glass (I assume that that's kind of the point of being transparent) and go with the straight edges of the tiles. You certainly wouldn't want a funny little segment of painted wall below the curved glass – it will look awkward and be very difficult to keep clean. My remaining concern is – have you already installed the rangehood or can it be easily taken back down to allow the tiler to do a really good, neat job and then the rangehood can be installed nice and tight against the tiles?...See MorePOLL: What's your favourite kitchen splashback?
Comments (46)We had a guy who printed posters print the photo and stick it on the glass for us (to make sure there were no air bubbles). He delivered it to the glazier who was installing the splashback. There was so much interest as it sat in the showroom, the glazier then started offering glass with pictures actually printed onto them... If your wall was smooth, you could put the 'poster' print onto ther wall as another option....See MoreC P
