Comments (20)Thanks for sharing the pictures. Trust me, I know EXACTLY what it feels like when you mention the stress of doing bathrooms. It is a lot of money and so one wants to get the decisions correct. I think the tones of the bathroom look really nice and because there isn't a lot of light, it looks like you made the right decision in not choosing the darker tile on the back wall. In terms of the floor tiles, I know what you mean about liking the grey, but then I also see a lot of display homes that are doing colours similar to your floors. I like the greyish tones, but then think to myself in 4 years time, am I going to look at grey/concrete coloured tiles and say "yuk, that was the 2016-2018 era. I remember grey tiles had their day also in the late eighties/early nineties. (Gosh, I am remembering now, even the pale grey trousers and apricot or pink shirts the men used to wear then....mmmm). The charcoal colours don't seem to date but then they are very dark in bathrooms that look similar to yours and mine. I hope you had a couple of wines to relax after the bathrooms were completed. :o)...See MoreDeciding roof tile colour
Comments (11)Not sure what light shade is on the roof at the moment. Have always done white or a shade of white while living around Queensland. It made a huge difference not having to use air-conditioning or fans as much. Because you already have dark brown walls penetrating heat, I would have a light colour on the roof. White reflects heat. Considering winter is not very long, I would choose a light colour as there is more heat most of the year. You can get roof paint coloured, maybe in a white with a hint of oyster. Blues are in, so if you like blue, maybe colour the gutter in very deep dark ocean blue. Don't like blue, so maybe dark grey on the gutter. Maybe then paint 2/3rds of the brown walls and leave some original brick walls as features....See MoreChoosing colour bond roof colour to blend in with terracotta tile roof
Comments (6)Hi there Mary, that's something I hadn't thought of re painting the ridge tiles, I had thought to replace them with the grey, it would depend on the condition of the ridge do they need re setting, this would be a good time to replace rather than fiddle with painting, Woodland Grey is a classic Colour Bond, Gully a bit lighter. Your Roof is a strong red colour, I would get a sample of both grey colours, if you have a spare red tile take it with you to look at samples good luck...See More- last year
